Pierre Therrien was born around 1635 in Notre-Dame, La Rochelle, Charente-Maritime, France. His parents are unkown. He married Marie-Gabrielle Mineau, daughter of Jean and Jeanne Caillé, on May 17, 1670 in Ste-Famille, Île d´Orléans. They had 14 children. He was in La Rochelle in 1656, when he made a 3-year commitment to Guillaume Pépin. He was confirmed on February 2, 1660 at Château-Richer. In 1681, he owned 1 cow and 6 acres of land in value. He died on September 12, 1706 in Quebec.
