History and origin of the Lapierre family

Jean-Charles Lapierre was born on May 7th, 1956 at the Îles-de-la-Madeleine. Better known as Jean Lapierre, this law graduate from the University of Ottawa is elected at the age of 23, as the deputy for Shefford. He became, 5 years later, the youngest minister in the history of the House of Commons. He left active politics in 2007 to pursue his career as a broadcaster. Describing himself as a "practical man, curious about everything, great food lover and wine, car lover, social golfer," he was recognized and appreciated by Quebec society. He died on March 29th, 2016 in a plane crash on his way to the funeral of his father, accompanied by his wife, two of his brothers and a sister.
