René Fillatreau-Filiatrault was born circa 1631 in St-Antoine d'Angliers, Vienne, France. Son of Vincent Fillatreau and Nicole Robinelle, he signed a marriage contract in 1657 with Marie Sédillot but to no avail; the marriage did not happened. He married Jeanne Hérault, daughter of François and Marie Jugueline on October 22, 1658. From this union were born 4 children. He came here in 1655. First, he settled in Quebec and then Montreal were he died. He was buried there on June 27, 1678.
