Pioneers of the Dubau family

Toussin Dubeau was born circa 1641 in Paris, France. Son of Paul and of unknown mother, he married Marguerite Damy before 1662 in France. They had 2 children. He settled in Quebec with his family and he was working as a shoemaker. He took part of an expedition in Hudson Bay where he was attacked by indians. He suffered for the rest of his life from the injuries inflicted by the arrows. A widow, he married Anne Jousselot on May 23, 1678. She was the daughter of Pierre and Ozanne Drapeau and the widow of Joseph Galois. From this union were born 11 children. He died and was buried on August 8, 1693 in Quebec.
