Jean Carrier was born in Saint-Georges, Saintonge, France in 1636. Son of Jean and Jeanne Dodier-Dodin, he marries Barbe Halay, 24 years old, daughter of Jean-Baptiste and Mathurine Valet, on November 4th 1670 in Quebec City. 4 children were born from their union. He first came before 1661 and settles in Seigneurie de Lauzon. In 1681, he owns 1 gun, 5 heads of cattle and 15 acres of land. His wife dies and buries on June 18th 1696. His own date of death or burial is unknown, but he was still alive on November 1715.
