Obituary of William-R. Hackett

HACKETT William R. Hackett, 70, formerly of Jacksonville, NC, died Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Kindred Hospital in Green Cove Springs, FL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 6th, at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville, NC Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. Mr. Hackett was retired from the U.S. Navy as a Hospitalman Chief and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline B. Hackett and his brothers, John and Richard Hackett. Survivors include two daughters, Denise Anne Deming of Orange Park, FL and Renee Teresa Hackett of Middleburg; one granddaughter, Natasha Renee Deming of Orange Park, FL; two sisters, Darcy Brown of Cottonwood, AZ and DeeDee Brown of California and his beloved dog, Blondie.
