Obituary of William-Gary Phelan

PHELAN, William Gary May 28th, 1938 - May 3rd, 2010 With deep sorrow we announce the loss of our beloved husband, father and grandfather Gary (Luke) Phelan. Gary was born to Luke and Rose Phelan, part of a large New Westminster family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins playing an important role in his life. Following high school Gary attended Essondale School of Psychiatric Nursing, becoming employed as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse at RVH and later in his career as a nursing supervisor at the Forensic Psychiatric Institute. Gary was an enthusiastic golf, bridge and snooker player. He was a very loved and proud Grandpa to Hailey, Alexander, Luke and Jack. Gary is survived by his wife Carol, sons David (Sarah) and Richard, daughter Lindsay (Jason), sister Betty Lou Scott, Aunt Marion Miller and his nieces and nephews. His love and zest for life will keep him in the hearts of his many friends and family. No service by request. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice.
