DENTON, WILLIAM "BILL" E., 93, of Louisville, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 22, 2013. He was born in Louisville, in 1920, son of the late Herbert and Travis Willett Denton. He was a graduate of Indiana University and served in the United States Marines during the Korean War. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Bishop Spaulding Council and retired from General Motors. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob. Paul and Carl Denton; sisters, Lula Mae Hattemen, Mary Borntraeger, Margaret Pomeroy, Doris Rundell and Mildred Tuell; and sister-in-law, Gloria McKenna. He is survived by his love of his life, Mary Lou Schulte Denton; sister-in-laws, Elizabeth and Patricia Schulte; and many nieces and nephews. We will all miss his keen sense of humor and family anecdotes. His Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road "in St. Matthews".
