Obituary of William-C. Berryman

William Cleveland "W.C." Berryman, 85, of Leighton, died May 20, 2011, after a brief illness. Visitation will be noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, at Colbert Memorial Chapel; funeral services to begin at 1 p.m. in the chapel; burial to follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Doug Click officiating.He was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Faye Berryman, and son, William Ernest Berryman.Survivors include granddaughter, Amanda Berryman and great-grandchildren, Harley and Blair; grandson, Brett Gargis and great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Dillon; granddaughter, Amy Gargis and great-grandchildren, Mallory, Braxton, Kobe and Brooklyn; grandson, Paul Gargis and great-grandchild, Austin; three sisters; two brothers; and several nieces and nephews.Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.Special thanks to Dr. Loren McCoy and staff, SouthernCare Hospice.Mr. Berryman was a World War II veteran, a loving father, grandfather and friend.Colbert Memorial Chapel of the Shoals directing.
