Before retiring he worked for Collins Frozen Foods and Krispy Chick. Ben was a former member of Riverside Baptist Church where he served as an ordained deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. He is currently a member of Calvary Baptist Temple and a member of the Ralph Finnegan Sunday School Class. He loved and participated in many sports with fishing and hunting being two of his favorites. But his love was golf which he played well until his health failed. He was always willing to give you a tip on how to play whether you wanted it or not. He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 60 years Beatrice "Bea" Miller Jordan. Two children, Linda Jordan George and Steve Jordan (Tammy Whitfield).
