Obituary of Walter-Nicholas Erickson

ERICKSON, Walter Nicholas 1916 - 2010 Passed away peacefully in New Westminster, BC on March 5, 2010 at 93 years of age. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Margaret. They were married on Valentine's Day in 1941, they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary together. Walter will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his children, Rick, Dave (Susan), and Kathy (Rob Steele), 5 beautiful and lively grandchildren: Lucy, Jake, Margaret, Emma and Stein and extended family and friends. Walter grew up in Langley, BC. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in WW II, became an instructor at the St. Thomas Technical Training School, and then went overseas. He was posted to RAF coastal command and served in England, Scotland, Ireland, on anti-sub patrols in the North Atlantic. Once home, he went into business for himself. Walter's quick wit, outstanding mechanical flair and love of family will be remembered by all who knew him. A private service was held on March 10, 2010
