Obituary of Walter-Henry Rae

RAE, Walter Henry - A resident of Leamington passed away peacefully at Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at the age of 80, with his family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Son of the late Thomas and Matilda (Waters) Rae. Beloved husband and best friend of Patricia (Brailsford) Rae. Dear father of Patricia Coulter of Leamington, and Donald Rae and wife Karen of Chatham. A cherished Papa to grandchildren Jennifer and Brian Coulter, Amanda, Alison and Evan Rae. Beloved great grand Papa to Alexis and Brooklyn Charette. Brother of William (Anna) Rae of Michigan, and James (Jackie) Rae of Scotland. Dearest brother-in-law to Rita Duncan of Scotland, George (Doris) Brailsford and Irene Brailsford of England, and Betty Brailsford of Windsor. Predeceased by brothers Thomas and John Rae, a sister Emily (Barrie), as well as brothers-in-law James Barrie, William Duncan, Jack Brailsford, and a sister-in-law Jesse Rae. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Walter was employed by Chrysler in Windsor and retired after 24 years of service. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge #140 in Leamington. He loved to paint and wallpaper, and cheered on the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays.
