Obituary of Virginia-R. Tibbetts

Virginia R. Ginny (Sandgren) Tibbetts, age 64 years, of Brockton, died unexpectedly, Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the loving wife of Steven F. Tibbetts. Born Thursday, July 26, 1945, in Brockton, she was a daughter of the late Fredrick and Virginia (Perry) Sandgren. Ginny was a 1963 graduate of Brockton High School and had been a long time resident of Brockton. She worked earlier as a hairdresser in the Brockton area and worked for several banks as a customer service representative for over 15 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crafts and photography and was also a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brockton where she was a former Sunday School Teacher. In addition to her husband Steven, she is survived by four sons, Knute Jack Tibbetts and his wife Cameron of Georgia, F. Scott Tibbetts of Easton, Sean Tibbetts and his wife Melissa of Brockton and Derek Tibbetts and his wife Shelly of Nantucket; four grandchildren, Nick Tibbetts, Ava Tibbetts, Evan Tibbetts and Kyla Tibbetts; a sister, Phyllis Fyans and her husband Ernie and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Joan AJ Hennessey. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at 10 a.m., in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton.
