Obituary of Victor-E. Allen


April 8, 2003 Victor E. Allen, 89, of Red School House Rd., Palermo, died Tuesday at Oswego Hospital. Mr. Allen was a life resident of Palermo. He owned several harness race horses for over 20 years. He was a cattle and livestock dealer for 50 years. Mr. Allen had worked previously at Armstrong World Industries and Nestle Co., Fulton. Mr. Allen was a member of the United States Trotting Association, the New York Racing Association and the New York State Cattle Dealers Association. He was also a member of Hiram Lodge 144 F.&A.M. in Fulton. His wife, Genevieve I. Allen died in 1999. Surviving are three daughters, Virginia Simms of North Syracuse, Cynthia (Cindy) Webster of Shell Point, FL, and Linda Guyer of Palermo; two sons, Theodore Allen of Mexico and Burdette MacDougall of Mobile, AL; a sister, Florence Stevens of North Volney; a brother, Erwin Allen of Fulton; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Volney. Calling hours 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.
