CHAPMAN _ Velma May Born March 30th, 1915, passed away peacefully on May 22nd, 2007. She was predeceased by her husband Richard, in June of 1978 and his daughter June Symons in 2006. Velma leaves her life-long ministry partner Rev. Bernice Gerard, of Sunday Line and World Ministries (Mission/Outreach to Needy Children). Immediate predeceased family members include Hilliard McColl, Carl, Russell, Jean and Gordon McColl. Survived by sisters-in-law Emma (Hilliard) of Estevan, Sask. and Jean McColl (Gordon) of Maidstone, Sask., niece Alberta McColl of Burnaby, BC and other nieces, nephews and family, Carl, Marian and Ron (Russell) who reside in Kamloops and other areas in Canada. Velma will be remembered by her faithful devotion to the preaching of the Gospel. She was affectionately known to her many friends and associates, as beautiful, regal, and generous with her musical talents. She rests in peace, at home with the Lord. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 30th, 1:00PM at Broadway Church, 2700 East Broadway, Vancouver. Donation for the Sunday Line Missions Outreach, 5611 Heather St., Vancouver, BC V5Z 3M3 may be offered in lieu of flowers.
