Obituary of Thomas Owen


Thomas Morgan Tommy Owen - REIDSVILLE - Thomas Morgan Tommy Owen age 74 passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Optim Medical Center Tattnall. The Chatham County native had lived in Savannah most of his life moving to Reidsville twenty one years ago. He served in the158th Fighter Interceptor Squadron of the Georgia Air National Guard for eight years and retired from Savannah Fire Department as a Master Firefighter after serving thirty years. He had been employed for the past thirteen years by the Tattnall County Commissioners serving at the Reidsville Convenience Center. He attended the Lakeview Praise and Worship. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Posey Douglas and Marie Owen; brother, Anthony Agonosfski; He is survived by his wife, Theresa M. Owen of Reidsville; sons, Bob Douglas Owen of Bulloch County, Richard K. Owen of Bloomingdale, Steven M. Martinez of Macon, Dillon Thomas Owen of Reidsville; Brother, Joseph Agonosfski of Savannah; sister, Ann Stumpf of Savannah; Ten grandchildren, Three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Lakeview Praise and Worship Center in the River Ridge Community of Reidsville and 1:00pm Saturday August 11, 2012 at the Cokesbury United Methodist Church in Savannah with the Pastors Earnest V. Jenkins Sr. and Lynn Jenkins Rowan officiating. Inurnment will be conducted later at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah. Bradley B.
