Obituary of Thomas-Leland Weldon

WELDON, Thomas Leland, 65, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Thursday morning August 22, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on October 26, 1947 in Schenectady, NY to parents Leona (Willey) and Hugh Weldon. He moved to Highlands County 25 years ago from New York and has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past nine years and was a retired laborer. Thomas loved spending time with his family and friends and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Placid Lakes. Mr. Weldon is survived by his loving wife Candace; daughter, Tammy; sons, Tommy and Todd; step-sons, William and Andrew; 1 grandson; 7 step-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Knittel, Nancy Fendley and Sharon Reese and several nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Thomas life will be held 4:00 PM Monday August 26, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Placid Lakes 116 Cleveland Avenue NE, Lake Placid with Rev.
