Obituary of Thelma Freeman

She was the widow of Claude Lee Freeman.A native of Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard L. and Carrie Selvy Hawkins. She was a member and faithful worker of Brandon Baptist Church for 84 years where she was a choir member, GA Leader, WMU member.She was predeceased by two brothers, Roy Lee Hawkins and Ralph C. Hawkins, and two sisters, Pearl Seeger and Irene Fowler. She is survived by nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Brandon Baptist Church with the service following at 1:30 p.m. The Bertha Paris Sunday School Class will be Honorary Pallbearers. Burial will follow in Graceland West Cemetery.The family would like to thank the staff at Omega Health and Ark Hospice, for their wonderful care of Thelma.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brandon Baptist Church, 16 Calder Street, Greenville, SC 29611.Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
