Obituary of Thelma Freeman

Anniston - Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Freeman will be Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Greater Thankful Baptist Church with the Rev. Angelo Groce officiating. Interment will follow in the Eden Hills Cemetery. Thelma L. Freeman was born on March 19, 1929, in Hissop, Alabama to the parentage of the late Tom Leonard and Mary Frances Glasper Leonard. Thelma was married to the late Harvey Freeman Jr. She departed this life on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at 10:17 p.m. at Jacksonville Health & Rehab. She is survived by two daughters, Bobbie (David) Walton and Rosie Nell (Nelson) Coleman and a stepdaughter, Jeraldine Caver; a sister, Ethel Lois Porter; three sisters-in-law, Beatrice McMath, Elizabeth Martin and Roberta Brager; two brothers-in-law, Johnny Meadows and Calvin (Tonya) Freeman; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
