Obituary of Teresa-Alice Hackett

Teresa Alice Wallace 1911-2002 Teresa A. Wallace "Tess", of McNair Manor, Riverview, and formerly of Albert Street, Moncton, passed away at her residence on Monday, August 26, 2002 at the age of 90 years. Born in St. Margaret's, NB she was the daughter of the late James and Alice (Cook) Hackett. Before her marriage Tess taught school for a number of years. She attended St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, and was a member of St. Bernard's C.W.L. for 50 years. She is survived by daughters, Arlene and her husband Harvey Larocque of Moncton, Janet and her husband Michael Gallagher of Rexton, Geralyn Wallace and her husband Michael Harrigan of Halifax, NS; son, Donald "Don" W. Wallace and his wife Sue of Grassie, ON; grandchildren, Stacey, Garett, Courtney, Melissa, Megan, Shawnessey, Luke, Kate and J.R.; sisters, Lucy Power of Miramichi, NB, Clara Bransfield of St. Margaret's,NB and Marguerite "Marg" Wilson of Fredericton, NB.; brothers, William "Bill" Hackett and his wife Dorothy of Hamilton, ON, and Jim Hackett and his wife Audrey of Dundas, ON, and John "Jack" of St. Margaret's, NB.; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Gerald W. Wallace in 1992; grandson, Shane Wallace; sisters, Mary Dixon, Lillian Hackett, and Helen Zolobka; also by brothers, Gerald and Harold. Resting at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home, 171 Lutz Street on Tuesday, August 27, 2002 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at 11:00am with Father Jean Couture Officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery. In Tess's memory, donations made to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation or the Memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by her family.
