Shirley Christine Chartrand May 04, 1933 - February 23, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) CHARTRAND, Shirley Christine - 71, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, February 23, 2005, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born May 4, 1933 in Murray River, P.E.I., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Annie (Beers) MacKinnon and stepdaughter of the late Dudley Ray Hiltz. She loved going to bingo and listening to music. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Dennis James; daughters, Sharon (Roy) Saulnier, Christine (Tommy) Jewell, Deb (Ross) Gould, Janet Williams; sons, Billy (Diane) Lindsay, Wayne (Linda) Lindsay, Michael Lindsay, Patrick (Sylvia) Lindsay; stepdaughters, Linda (Steve) Rose, Carol (Louis) Cincelli; stepsons, Wayne (Barb) Chartrand, Steve Chartrand (Barb O'Neil), Michael (Anne Marie) Chartrand; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Frances (James) Nelson, Marion (Jack) Wintzer, Kathy (Steve) Murphy; brothers, Donald MacKinnon, Hector (Helen) MacKinnon; numerous stepsisters, stepbrothers, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by first husband, Charles Lindsay; daughter, Jane Catherine in infancy; brother, Clarence MacKinnon. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday in Saint Paul's Roman Catholic Church, 199 Windmill Rd., Dartmouth. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception will follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Centre. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of 8.2, New Halifax Infirmary for all their care and compassion. Family flowers only.
