Obituary of Sandra-Rutherford Allen

Allen, Sandra Rutherford, October 26, 1942 - December 29, 2004. Sandra "Sandy" Rutherford Allen, 62, passed away at home in Benicia, CA after a brief illness. She had previously lived in Miami and in Davie, FL for some 30 years. She was born in Oakland, CA, graduated from Vallejo, CA Senior High School in 1960 and played in the Vallejo Junior Symphony for eight years. She owned and operated Allen's Shell-a-Rama in Davie for 20 years. Sandy enjoyed making decorations from shells and driftwood. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Charles A. Allen of Benicia; sister, Carol Ann Ferm-Russell; nieces Diana Fisher and Kimberly Ferm; nephew Byron Ferm and great-nephews Mario Castillo and Thomas Dion. Her ashes will be scattered in San Francisco Bay, and a memorial service will be held at a time to be announced. Arrangements were made by Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home, Vallejo, CA.
