Obituary of Ruth E. Ericson


Ruth E. (Christensen) Ericson, 94 years of age, entered Life Eternal at Carney Hospital, Dorchester on Sunday, August 15, 2010. She was born in Everett and graduated from Everett High School. She resided in Mattapan before moving to Weymouth in 1987. Mrs. Ericson was a resident of Union Towers One on Broad Street Weymouth for a number of years. During her working career she was a Payroll Supervisor for the Little Brown Publishing Company of Boston and later was a bookkeeper-manager for B. Martin & Co, in Boston. She was a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Dorchester. She was the wife of the late Karl E. Ericson who died in 1998. She is the loving mother of Kenneth A. Ericson married to Marilyn Ericson of Reading, PA. She was the mother of the late Paul Gordon Ericson. She was the sister of the late Neil Christensen and step-sister of the late Eva OHara. She is the loving grandmother of David Ericson married to Debbie Ericson of Holbrook and Dennis Ericson married to Debbie Ericson of Medfield. She is also survived by four great grandchildren and by nieces and nephews. Visiting hour will be at the Mortimer N. Peck | Russell Peck Funeral Home, 870 Broad St., (opposite the U.S. Post Office in Jackson Square), EAST WEYMOUTH on Thursday, August 19 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. to be followed by a funeral service at the funeral home. The Reverend Paul Peterson pastor emeritus of Our Saviours Lutheran Church will officiate Interment will be at Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston. Relatives and friends are invited.
