Obituary of Robert-G. Jennings

Robert G. Jennings November 14, 2011 Robert G. Jennings, 86, formerly of Bridgeport, passed away on Monday. He was born December 21, 1924 in Syracuse, a son of George and Lois Baker Jennings. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946. He was a recipient of the Pacific Theatre Medal. He was married to Shirley Black who preceded him in death. He then married Leona Hayes on October 6, 2000. He last worked at Upstate Hospital as a biomed technician. He was a member of the Bridgeport Vol. Fire Dept. Surviving are his wife, Leona; two sons, Paul (Cheryl) Jennings, Liverpool, Gordon Jennings, Syracuse; two daughters, Jill (Steve) Childers, Daytona Beach, FL, Sally (Bill) Pauli, Chittenango; two grandchildren, Samantha and Marisa Pauli; two sisters, Barbara Fina and Jane Cook. Services will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
