MANCHESTER - Robert E. Abraham, 85, of Manchester, passed away after a brief illness on Dec. 24, 2014, at Elliot Hospital in Manchester. Bob was born on June 12, 1929, in Dover, to the parents of the late Delia (Sprague) and Joseph Abraham.After serving in the U.S. Army, he worked as a productions manager at Genest Baking Company of Manchester. Bob and his wife, the former Frances Silvestri, were married for 58 years. Bob enjoyed spending time at horse races with his close friend Chester Brach and playing many hours of cribbage with his family. He also played weekly at the American Legion Post No. 2.He is survived by his wife, Frances (Silvestri) Abraham; their two children, Patricia Murray and her husband Bryan of Meredith, and son, Robert J. Abraham and his wife Lynn of Lincoln. Dear grandfather "Pop" of Laura Murray, Jillian Abraham and her fiancé Asa Twombly, and Joseph Abraham; loving great-grandfather of Azre Twombly; brother of Charles Abraham of Florida. . SERVICES: Family and friends will honor and remember Bob's life by gathering to visit in the Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, 243 Hanover St.,corner of Union Street, Manchester, on Monday, Dec. 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment with military honors will follow in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, at 2 p.m.For more information or to leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.phaneuf.net.
