Robert Dean Morse December 18, 2010 Robert Dean Morse, 91, of DeWitt, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Ilion, NY, he was the son of Raymond Joseph and Ethel Overhiser Morse. He was an Army veteran of World War II stationed in Europe and participated in the Normandy Invasion. Bob was also a veteran of the Korean War and the Berlin Crisis. He retired from the 108th Tactical Control Squadron in 1979 as a Senior Master Sargeant. Bob was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Syracuse, NY. He was also a member of the Tigris Shrine and The Scottish Rite. He enjoyed league bowling, golfing, and was an avid Yankees fan. His wife, Helen, predeceased him in 2007. Surviving are his three daughters, Linda (Everett) Katz, Barbara (William) Irwin, and Laurie (Joseph) Gotch; five grandchildren, Amy Dostie, Everett Katz III, Michael Katz, William Irwin Jr., Robert Irwin; and four great-grandchildren, Andrew Katz, Savannah Katz, Everett Katz III, and Paul Katz. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 8 at the First Baptist Church of Syracuse, 5833 E. Seneca Turnpike, Jamesville. Private burial will be at White Chapel Memory Garden in DeWitt. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the First Baptist Church of Syracuse. Greenleaf Funeral Homes, Inc.
