Obituary of Richard McCaffrey

->McCaffrey, Richard C.Richard C. McCaffrey of Orangeburg, NY passed away on June 2, 2011 at Nyack Hospital with his best friend at his side. He was born on September 9, 1935 in Manhattan. Richard grew up in the Bronx and moved to Orangeburg in 1965. Richard owned and operated McCaffrey Welding and Boiler Repair for over forty years. After he retired he enjoyed boating on the Hudson River, and motoring up the Hudson or to the Long Island Sound and Connecticut on his boat "Rainbow's End". He is predeceased by his sons, Kenneth and Richard. He is also, predeceased by his brothers Raymond and Roger. He is survived by his loyal and best friend Patricia VanderBeek and several nieces, a nephew and his two sister-in-laws. He leaves behind his beloved cats Mindy, Minnie and Blinkie who dearly miss him. Visiting hours are 4 to 7 PM today (Sunday, June 5th) at Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. in Nyack, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 6th at 11 AM at St. Catharine's RC Church, 521 Western Highway, Blauvelt, NY. Burial will be private at a later date.
