Richard Hamiltonformerly of Townsend; 92 TOWNSEND -- Richard Hamilton, 92, formerly of Townsend, died Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Pheasant Wood Center, Peterborough, NH.He was predeceased by his wife Virginia (O'Neal) Hamilton.Mr. Hamilton was born in Townsend, June 3, 1922, a son of Foster and Florence M. (Kaddy) Hamilton.He worked several years in the maintenance department at Spaulding Memorial School in Townsend Many years ago he had worked at the National Cash Register Company in Ohio.During WW II he served his country in the United States Army Air Corps where he attained the rank of Corporal.He leaves his longtime companion, Phyllis Walker of Townsend and step-son Martin O'Neal and his wife Jackie, three grandchildren and one great-grandson of Ohio.He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Hamilton and Hazen Hamilton, and three sisters, Gertrude Davis, Eva Austin, and Lucy Forin.HAMILTON -- Graveside services with military honors will be at 2:00PM Saturday, May 16th at Riverside Cemetery.
