Obituary of Richard-Gordon Sutton

Richard "Dick" Gordon Sutton January 14, 2015 On Wednesday Jan 14th, we lost our sweet dad. Predeceased by our mother, Lillian, in 1989, survived by his wife of 24 years, Rhena Clark, his 3 children Pat Hugh (Rich), Brent Sutton and Slockwood, his 7 grandchildren and 5 great-granddaughters. Dad was quiet, hard-working and dedicated to his family. Born in Killarney, Manitoba on February 27th, 1925, Dad served with The Royal Winnipeg Rifles in WWII from the age of 19. Dad began his married life as a farmer, then moved to BC in the mid 1950's, where he worked for ESSO before starting a family business, Sutton Trucking/Excavation, with Lil and Brent. Dad was a great inventor, "making-do" with whatever was available when something needed repair or modification. Dad's door was always open to friends and family and "drop-ins" would be invited to stay for a meal. We will always miss you, Dad, and love you forever.
