d'EON, Reginald Eugène - 75, West Pubnico, passed away February 16, 2004, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in West Pubnico, he was a son of the late Vincent and Hélène (d'Entremont) d'Eon. He was a loving father and grandfather who loved to cook, make wooden crafts and gardening. He was a Signalman in the Canadian Corps of Signals from 1949-52. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 66, West Pubnico and the New Horizons. He was a very active member of the West Pubnico Museum. Also, he was a very proficient barber and had his own barber shop. He is survived by his wife, the former Claire d'Entremont; sons, Albert (Yvette), Yarmouth; Jean-Robert (Olivia), Lower West Pubnico; Aldric (Barb), Felix (Kim); son-in-law, Robert, all of West Pubnico; daughters, Lisette (Peter) d'Entremont, West Pubnico; Cécile (Mike) Bourque, Middle West Pubnico; Roseline (Paul) Robicheau, Wedgeport; brother, Anselm (Florence), Lower East Pubnico; sisters, Anne-Marie (Isaac) d'Entremont, Lower West Pubnico; Adèle Comeau, Meteghan; Hélèna (Joe) Burke, Shelburne; 12 grandchildren. He was predeceased by daughter, Virginia; brothers, Vincent, Léon, Lin, and sister, Geraldine. Cremation has taken place. Visitation 3-9 p.m. today in West Pubnico Funeral Home, with Legion prayers at 7:30 p.m., and from 9-10:30 a.m. in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Middle West Pubnico, followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, Father Edgar Mvubu officiating. Interment in Parish Cemetery. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
