Obituary of Raymond St

Raymond St. Jean September 13, 1934 - June 22, 2009 PLAINFIELD - Raymond Ernest St. Jean, 74, of Perkins St., died peacefully Monday at Village Manor with his loving family by his side. He was the husband for 54 years of Lucille (Brodeur) St. Jean. He was born Sept. 13, 1934 in Plainfield a son of the late Raymond and Rhea (LaCourse) St. Jean. He owned and operated Keep Em Sharp for 45 years at his home. Ray entered the Navy at 17 years old during The Korean Conflict and was aboard the U.S.S. Pittsburgh. Raymond leaves behind seven loving children, Mark and his wife Mary of Moosup, Michael and his wife Barbara of Virginia Beach, VA., Myles and his wife Karleen of Central Village and Matthew and Marcel at home. His two daughters, Mary Anne Souza and her husband Jim of Brandon, MS., and Monique Nicol and her husband Gary of East Hampton; he also leaves eight grandchildren, Tricia Evans, Tiffany Andrews, Sarah Hall, Ryan St. Jean, Nathan St. Jean, Hannah St. Jean Jackie Ginn and Christopher Boyce; also five great grandchildren, Gabrielle Andrews, Peyton Evans, Jacob Evans, Kristina MacDonald and Maya and Braxton Boyce. Two brothers, Arthur St. Jean and Norman St. Jean and his wife Lorraine all of Plainfield. One sister, Gloria Rizer of Plainfield. He also leaves his mother in law Edith Provost. He was predeceased by two brothers, Roger and Richard. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:30 a.m. in St. John the Apostle Church. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday 4-8 p.m. at Dougherty Bros. Funeral Home, 595 Norwich Rd., Plainfield.
