Obituary of Raymond-Joseph Finan

FINAN, Raymond Joseph Décédé le 11 Juin 2006, à l'age de 85 ans, après une longue et heureuse vie. Son départ afflige sa femme Victoria Saad, qui a partagé sa vie pendant 56 ans, ses enfants; Reine-Marie ( Fayez Tawil ), Roger ( Judith Jasper), Ottawa, Ramzi, Beyrouth, Nadim (Lori Lapointe ) et Joe (Marie-Thérèse Copti ), ses petits-enfants; Georges, Fadi, Zahi, Raymond, Mounir, Joseph et Catherine. Il laisse dans le deuil de nombreux parents et amis. Raymond a contribué par plusieurs années de services aux Nations-Unis, en particulier à l'UNRWA. La famille recevra les condoléances au Salon Funéraire Armstrong-Rideau 1640 Cote-Vertu, St-Laurent ( 514 ) 331-1104, le mercredi 14 juin de 15 h 00 à 17 h 00 et de 19 h 00 à 21 h00. Les funérailles auront lieu le jeudi 15 juin à 11 h 00 à l'église Our Lady of Fatima, ( 875 Marcel-Laurin, coin Décelle). L'inhumation suivra au cimetière St-Laurent. Au lieu de fleurs, des dons à la fondation de l'hôpital du Sacré-Coeur, ou le Centre d'Accueil Les Cèdres, en guise de son appréciation aux personnels des Cèdres et HSC pour les excellents soins qu'il a reçus. Loving and proud father of Reine-Marie (Fayez Tawil), Roger (Judith Jasper), Ottawa, Ramzi, Beirut, Nadim (Lori Lapointe) and Joe (Marie-Therese Copti). Respected Jiddo and Grandfather to Georges, Fadi, Zahi, Raymond, Mounir, Joseph and Catherine. Raymond is survived by his sister Esther Atallah, Syracuse NY. Raymond made his own contribution through his many years of services with the UN, in particular his work at UNRWA. All his life, Raymond maintained a positive and optimistic outlook. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many family members and friends. Visitation at the Armstrong-Rideau Funeral Home, 1640 Cote-Vertu, St-Laurent, (514) 331-1104, on Wednesday, June 14 from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service at Our Lady of Fatima Parish (875 Marcel-Laurin, corner Decelle, St-Laurent) on Thursday, June 15 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Cimetiere St-Laurent. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sacre-Coeur Hospital Foundation or the Cedars Home as his final appreciation to the personnel of HSC and the Cedars for the excellent and compassionate care they provided him.
