Ralph Wesley SweetBorn to Fred and Kathleen Sweet on March 16, 1923 and passed peacefully on September 4, 2013 at the age of 90. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, farmer and inventor. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years Anna; son Glen (Michelle) and his children Lindsay (Megan) & Meahgan; daughter Ellen and her children Melissa (Brad), Melanie (Darcy) & Murray; daughter Lois and her children Dan (Shannen), Jennifer, Annissa & Brett; son Jim (Vera) and his children Kevin (Shanda) & Jacquelyn (Brad); daughter Susan (Mohsen) and her children Mohsen & Nafeesa; daughter Shirley (Kent) and her children Gabe, Karlee & Matt. Ralph was also Grandpa to six great- grandchildren. Dad happily lived his entire life on his farm at Forgan. His intellect and deep passion for farming led to many inventions related to improvement of farm productivity. Ralph was thirty years ahead of time in his desire to better the environment through ethanol and carbon production, both of which he began working on in the 1970's. Ralph attended the U of S College of Agriculture and taught welding at the U of S in Saskatoon (prior to the existence of SIAST). Gardening, reading and his many pets were important parts of his life. No service at his request. A special thank you to the staff of the Elrose Health Centre. He's now at rest, in a better place.I bet he's already enjoying his stash of extra salty mixed nuts!And to finish with what I now carry with me'Keep fighting your fight and living your dream.'I'm loving an angel instead.
