Obituary of Paul Meyer


MEYER Paul G. 84 of Clifton died Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at the Masonic Home in Burlington. Born in Hoboken, he resided in Clifton for the past 60 years. Mr. Meyer was employed as a meter calibrating engineer at Singer Kearfott Inc in Wayne for 37 years before retiring in 1988. He was self employed as a worldwide calibrating consultant since his retirement. Mr. Meyer is a US Army Veteran of World War II who served in Europe. He is a member of the First Lutheran Church, Clifton Masonic Lodge #203, the Clifton Craftsmen's Club and Paterson Valley Forest #33 Tall Cedars of Lebanon in America all located in Clifton. Mr. Meyer is also a member of the Valley of Northern NJ Scottish Rite in Lincoln Park and the Director's Staff of Salaam Shrine Center in Livingston. He is a member and past vice president of the NJ Mycological Association. Mr. Meyer is survived by a son Paul W. Meyer of Brick, by a granddaughter Regina "Jennie" Meyer and a brother Henry B. Meyer of Oak Ridge. Funeral services will be held 2:30PM Monday at the NJ Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Visiting hours will be Friday 2-4 and 7-9PM at Allwood Funeral Home, 660-670 Allwood Road, Clifton with Masonic Funeral Services 8PM. Donations to the Shriner's Children's Hospital or The Masonic Learning Centers will be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
