Obituary of Paul E. Quinn


QUINNPaul E. Quinn, age 63, graciously, thoughtfully and with humor, lost his bat tle with cancer. Passed away at his home in Plymouth, February 5, 2007. He for merly lived in Weymouth for 25 years. He attended High School in South Boston. He was employed by the MBTA for 26 years. He worked as a Bus driver, a Clerk in payroll, and a heavy duty equipment operator. He retired from the T in 1991. Loving and caring husband of Susan (Joyce) Quinn of Plymouth, who upon Pauls request, with Reverend Gary Blume, renewed their wedding vows on January 29, 2007. Devoted father of Eric P. Quinn and daughter-in-law Julie Quinn of Putnam, Connecticut. Wonderful Grampy to grandsons Cahan and Conor Quinn of Putnam, Connecticut and com passionate Daddy to his late daughter Erin Christine Quinn. Brother of Thomas Quinn married to Peggy Quinn of Scituate, James Quinn of Quincy, Frank Quinn of Marlboro, and he was also the brother of the late John, Joseph, William, Michael, and Mary Quinn. Paul was a dea con and active member of the First Church in Weymouth. Paul shopped, pre pared and cooked many church suppers with the help of many from his Church family, fed the homeless for numerous years with the First Church in the Wey mouth meals program, once a month at Father Bills Place in Quincy. Paul also volunteered his driving skills at 1000 Southern Artery in Quincy. He drove their bus Bud for seniors on day and over night trips. Paul also took numerous culi nary classes in Quincy, which only en hanced his cooking expertise. He also cooked many meals at the club house in Florida and also at the club house at PME in Plymouth. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in- law, and many dear loving friends. Memo rial Service in celebration of Pauls life will be at First Church in Weymouth, 17 Church St., Weymouth at 11 a.m. on Sat urday, February 24th. Please no flowers, send your charitable donation to the First Church of Weymouth - Missions Commit tee, 17 Church St., Weymouth, MA 02189. These donations in Pauls memory will be used to further reach out into the commu nity to help others that are less fortunate and in need. Arrangements by the Mortimer N.
