Obituary of Patricia Redmond

<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->SR. PATRICIA REDMONDApril 9, 2014Sr. Patricia Redmond OSF passed away April 9, 2014. She was the beloved daughter of the late Margaret and Daniel Redmond, dear sister of Joan Colern (the late Charles Colern,) James J Redmond and Kathleen Pierce (Justice Robert J Pierce.) She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.Sister Patricia was born in 1936 in Buffalo, NY. She was received into the Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, NY at St. Elizabeth Motherhouse where she completed her education in 1955. She received her BA at St. Bonaventure University Olean, NY and her MS at Barry College in Miami, Florida.In subsequent years her ministry continued in Florida where she was a teacher and cared for the sick and elderly. Her passion to walk beside Christ and St Francis only continues her journey and that will never end.A memorial mass will take place at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2133 Heitman St, Ft. Myers, Florida on May 6, 2014 at 9:30am.An additional memorial mass will be held at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 1441 Spencer St Port Charlotte, Florida, on May 31,2014 at 11:00am.
