PAUL (PERRY) RAINVILLE ESSEX JUNCTION - Paul (Perry) Rainville, 80, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011 in the Vermont Respite House of Williston from cancer. Paul was born Sept. 27, 1930 to the late Philias and Marie Anna (Dumond) Rainville, one of fifteen children. Paul served in the Korean War as a gunner on the ship Midway. He worked as a technician for IBM for thirty years. He loved fishing, hunting, and sports - "Go Red Sox!" Paul is survived by his wife of 26 years, Betty; two daughters, Lynn and husband, Dave Lammi, of Wisconsin and Gay and husband, Roy Tank, of Wisconsin; one grand- daughter, Kristin Lammi of Wisconsin; two grandsons, Steven Lammi, who is serving in Afghanistan, and his wife, Katie, and Thomas Hart of Wisconsin; three sisters, Laurette Allis of Shelburne, Theresa Allis and husband, Clifford, of Burlington, and Helen Czarny and husband, Roland, of Texas; one brother, Roger Rainville and wife, Charlene, of Wisconsin; and numerous nieces and nephews. I wish to thank the workers, comrades and friends of the VFW Post #6689 of Essex Junction for their caring and support. Special thanks to his sisterin-law, Carol Bartlett and her husband, Irving; loving friends, Judy Perras and Dwight Burleson; and caring neighbors, the Bradys and the Valleys, especially TJ. Many thanks to the Hospice staff, and the staff of the Vermont Respite House. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4 Prospect Street, Essex Jct. Corbin & Palmer Funeral and Cremation Service, 9 Pleasant Street, in care of arrangements.
