Obituary of Paul Meier

MEIER--Paul, died peacefully at home on August 7, age 87. Married 63 years to Louise Goldstone Meier, father of Diane (Warren), Karen (Steve), Joan (Jerry); beloved grandfather of Leo, Clara, Anna, Peter, Penina, and cherished uncle. Dear colleague, mentor and friend to many. Visionary biostatistician and Department Chair, University of Chicago and Columbia University. Lover of ideas, music, sailing, and his fellow humans.
