Obituary of Nora-Emily-McGraw Greer

GREER, NORA EMILY MCGRAW, of Montevallo passed away peacefully on November 23, 2011. She was born on August 13, 1927 in Birmingham, AL where she was a longtime resident, after being a longtime resident of Mobile, AL. She was a longtime member of Mars Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Hugh McGraw and Myrtle Jeanette McGraw. Her sisters: Mozelle Kendrick and Ida Ruth Kendrick; her brother: James David McGraw; her granddaughter: Michelle Renee Newson and her great grandson: Edward (Eddie) Lowe. Nora is survived by: Ray Everett Greer, her loving husband of 64 years; her sons and daughter: Steve (Allyson) Greer, Arleen (Jesse) Gilliland and Glenn (Sharon) Greer; her brother, Edward (Ginger) Hugh McGraw; her 13 grandchildren; her 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends. She was a loving wife and mother, as well as a friend to all. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 26, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Rockco Funeral Home, Montevallo with burial in the Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery on Highway 150 in Hoover.
