Mrs. Rita Laura LeFebvre, age 84, died Friday at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. The Burlington, Vermont native had lived in Statesboro since 1962. She was a homemaker. Mrs. LeFebvre was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Statesboro. She loved and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. LeFebvre was preceded in death by her husband, John William LeFebvre; a daughter, Joyce LeFebvre; a grandson, Lee Proctor; a great grandchild, Ashlynn Cowart; seven brothers and two sisters. Surviving are a daughter, Colleen Rosier of Register; two sons and a daughter in law, Paul and Maria LeFebvre of Brooklet and Michael LeFebvre of Statesboro; four grandchildren, Anthony (Marianne) LeFebvre of Brooklet, Laura (Barry) Cowart and Jennifer LeFebvre all of Ellabell and Sophia (Justin) Detlefsen of Des Moines, Iowa. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro. Rosary services will be at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with Father Tim McKeown officiating. Interment will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Barry Cowart, Anthony LeFebvre, Craig Sapp, Robbie Rodgers, Kendall Blackburn and Wendell Bunch. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, Ga. 30459. Friends may sign the online register book at www.joineranderson.com.
