Obituary of Mrs. -Elizabeth Norris

Elizabeth Green "Beth" Norris, 65, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 at Memorial University Medical Center after a courageous nine year battle with cancer. She was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, daughter of Landrum E. and Frances Gowan Green. She lived in Savannah most of her life and was a graduate of Savannah High School. Afterwards she attended Savannah College of Art and Design and Armstrong State College. Beth had a love for art and was an avid painter throughout her life. She was retired after 30 years of service from BellSouth Corporation and was a member of Richmond Hill United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband of 25 years, Thomas F. Norris of Richmond Hill, GA; two sons, Ryan Reese (Stephanie) of Richmond Hill, GA; Michael T. Norris of Valdosta, GA; sisters, Jill G. Hattaway (Robin) of Savannah, GA; Jane G. Boswell (William) of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Skyler Rodgers, Evan and Eli Reese all of Richmond Hill, GA; mother-in-law, Arlene Norris of St. Mary's, GA; nieces, nephews and cousins.A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Richmond Hill United Methodist Church with Reverend Glenn Martin officiating.An internment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Mary's, Georgia at 3:00 p.m.Remembrances: Richmond Hill United Methodist Church, 9050 Ford Ave., Richmond Hill, GA 31324 or Summit Cancer Care 5400 Sutlive St. Savannah, Georgia 31405Richmond Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.coxrichmondhillfh.com
