Obituary of Mother-Ellen-Peoples Owens

OWENS Mother Ellen "Joyce" Peoples Owens was born on Feb. 12, 1949 to Margie Dodson and James Dixon in Lonake, AR and at the age of two years old she was adopted by her stepfather R. C. Peoples. She departed this life on Wed. Aug. 8, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and daughter Rene Patrice Owens. Mother Owens leaves to Cherish her memories three children: a devoted son; Rev. Adrian (Erikka) Owens, Sr., Jacksonville, FL, Maurice Owens, Sr. (Lisa) and Marcus Owens of Decatur, IL; 6 sisters, 6 brothers; 18 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; Albert Fullilove and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held Sat. Aug. 18, 2007, 11AM at Mount Carmel Baptist Church 1329 Market St. Pastor Anthony Jackson, officiating. Visitation will be held (TODAY) from 6-8 PM at the Mortuary.
