Obituary of Michael-John Ball

BALL, Michael John In loving memory of Michael John Ball, 81 years, who passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital-Memorial Site. Beloved husband of Lucille (Proulx) Ball predeceased 1985 and June Dunlop-Ball predeceased 2003. Loving father of Tim (wife Karin) of Guelph. Cherished grandfather of Mark. Dear son of Joseph and Lucille Ball both predeceased. Dear brother of Florence McInnis of Capreol, Cecile Waldriff of South River, Frank of Oakville, predeceased by Lilliane, Gilberte, Roseline, and Allan all predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Born in Papineauville, Quebec he served with the First Canadian Parachute Battalion during World War II and he was a past vice president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 179, Capreol. Michael was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church where he sang in the choir and was a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, camping and playing cards. Michael was a people person, always out-going and will be lovingly remembered as a good man. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, Hanmer/Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Dr., Hanmer. Funeral mass in Our Lady of Peace Church, Capreol, Saturday, May 1, 2004 at 11 am. Interment in the Capreol Cemetery. Prayers 4:45 pm Friday. Memorial service 7:30 pm Friday under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 179, Capreol. Donations to Diabetic Association or Heart and Stroke Fund would be appreciated.
