Obituary of Mattie-Elizabeth-Martin-Knight Owen

Mattie Elizabeth Martin Knight Owen, 92, of Louisville, died Friday, April 30, 2004. She was a native of Grayson County, KY, and formerly of Sonora, KY. She retired from W.T. Grant & Co. and was a Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garvin Owen, and her son, Edgar Ray Knight. Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Coleman and her husband, Bill; 10 grandchildren, Kay Upton, Debbie Parker, David and John R. Coleman, Donna Higgins, Charles Ray, Roger, Ronnie and Ray Knight and Cathy Donelson; 27 great-grandchildren; and 10 great- great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. EDT Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial will be at 1 p.m. CDT in Clarkson (KY) Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2-8 p.m. EDT Saturday and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. EDT Sunday.
