GAFFNEY, Mary. Entered into rest at the Brockville General on February 3, 2008 in her eighty-sixth year. Beloved wife of Hugh Gaffney. Dear mother of Moyra Sinclair (Douglas) of Florida, Paddy Brayton (Wayne) of Brockville and Philip Gaffney (Rose) of Halifax. Dear grandmother of Deirdre, Drew, Michelle, Wanda, Rod and Brendan. Also survived by six great-grandchildren and by one sister Jean Graham of Hudson, P.Q. Predeceased by brothers Ralph, Lauder and Rodden Strachan and by a brother-in-law Donald Graham. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville, ON from Thursday 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be celebrated in St. Francis Xavier Church on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Cremation will follow at Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland. Interment will be at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. In memoriams to the Salvation Army would be gratefully appreciated. A reception will follow the Funeral Liturgy at the Irvine Reception Centre.
