Obituary of Mary Morel

Mary Yvonne (nee Morel) Verrico, 77, of Essex Fells passed away on Dec. 24, 2010, at home. Mary lived with her son, Mariano Sr., his partner, Robert, and grandson, Mariano Jr. They devoted loving care and assistance to provide her with a comfortable life style in her last years. Born in Newark, N.J., on Feb. 1, 1933, she was the dear wife of the late Gerardo L. Verrico Sr.; devoted mother of Henry, Gerardo Jr. and Mariano Sr.; loving grandmother of William Sr., Gerard, Mariano Jr., and Keith; and great-grandmother to William Jr. and Cristian. Mary is survived by her brothers, David, Thomas and John Morel; her sister, Louise Milazzo; son-in-law, Robert; daughter-in-law, Susan, and many loving nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to her niece Lydia Parker and Theresa Williams for their care and dedication to Mary is expressed by the family. Funeral services will be conducted by the Zarro Funeral Home, 145 Harrison St., Bloomfield, on Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Nutley, N.J. The internment will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair, N.J. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010.
