Obituary of Mary Gannon

->Mary "Delrae" GannonBETHEL ACRES, OK - Mary "Delrae" Gannon, 66, of Bethel Acres, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in Oklahoma City.She was born July 27, 1947 to Harrison Berry and Evelyn Oleta (Sadler) Edwards in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Delrae was raised in Midwest City and attended Midwest City Public Schools. She was a 1965 graduate of Midwest City High School.She married Joseph Gannon, Jr. of Poughkeepsie, New York while stationed at Tinker Air Force Base on March 31, 1967 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. They lived in Midwest City until moving to the Bethel Acres area in 1976 where they made their home and have since lived.Delrae worked as a bank teller and assistant supervisor at First National Bank in Midwest City for many years. She worked in outside marketing for SAMS Club later working at Spencer BBQ, Wildcat Corner and at Firelake Grand convenience store.She was a devoted and long-time member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. She was a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Shawnee VFW. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Evelyn Edwards.Those left to cherish her memory are loving husband of over 46 years, Joe Gannon, Jr., of the home; daughter, Deidra Gannon; son, Michael Gannon; 2 granddaughters, Amber Riley and Darian Riley, all of Bethel Acres; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Bob Jordan, of Bethel Acres; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Mary Edwards, of San Antonio, TX; 2 sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruth Elderkin, of Hyde Park, NY and Patti and Butch Butler, of Hyde Park, NY; brother-in-law and sister-law, Dan and Marylee Gannon, of Oregon; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.Visitation will begin 9:00 a.m., Thursday, February 27, 2014 and continue through service time. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 28, 2014 at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Father Manuel Magallanes officiating.
