Obituary of Mary-Claire Riehl


RIEHL, Mary Claire - It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Claire Riehl (age 78) Monday, December 4, 2006 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elliot Lake. Beloved wife of Robert C. “Bob“ Riehl of Elliot Lake, loving mother of Catherine (Norm) of Vancouver, Peggy (Ranald, predeceased) of North Bay, David of White River, Fred of Elkford, BC and Janet (Dave) of Sudbury. Cherished grandmother of Robert, Michael, Jennifer, Magan, Nathan, Rachel and great grandmother of Alex and Connor. Claire is the sister of Ronald (Marueen) of Stittsville, predeceased by Frank (Venette) of Grand Falls, N.B., Margaret of Nova Scotia and sister in law of Bill (Gladys) Riehl of Clinton, Ontario. A longtime resident of our community, a member of C.W.L., Lady Claire will be missed by her McMuffins pals and her Bridge Club. Claire the Cop will be sorely missed by her friends and family. Friends are invited to a Memorial gathering Friday December 8, 2006 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the hall at Grace Christian Centre (the old Sault College) of Colwill Drive, in the new subdivision. A religious service will be held Saturday December 9, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church on Spruce Avenue. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Doctors Without Borders would be greatly appreciated by her family.
