Obituary of Mary-Ann-Pease-Crabtree O-Bryan


NEW ALBANY -- Mary Ann Pease Crabtree O'Bryan, 86, died Thursday evening at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. The daughter of the late William and Julia Haas Pease, Mary Ann was born June 30, 1918, in Harrison County, IN. She was a resident of Sellersburg, IN, and had worked as a purchaser for Bacon's department stores. She was a homemaker, an avid bunco player and a member of Friends of the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library and the Floyd County Friendship Home Extension Club. In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Dudgeon, and a brother, Gerald Pease. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Joseph O'Bryan; three daughters, Sheila Bauer (Raymond), Linda Gail Schickel and Kelly Jo Brengle (Rick); one son, James Crabtree; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchil-dren. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2004, at Generations Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Ln., New Albany, with entomb- ment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2004, noon-5 p.m. Sunday, July 4, 2004, and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Ronald McDonald House or The Salvation Army.
