Obituary of Marie-S. Fagan


Marie S. Fagan EAST BRIDGEWATER Marie S. Nana (Smith) Fagan, of East Bridgewater, formerly of Weymouth, passed away Saturday, Dec. 4, 2009. Marie was born in New York, raised and educated in Brighton. She was a resident of Bridgewater for the past three years and formerly of Weymouth for many years. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Fagan Sr.; loving mother of Joseph A. Fagan Jr. of Falmouth, Joan M. and Mickael Martell of Whitman, Edward J. and Donna Fagan of Hanson and Steven W. and Melissa Fagan of East Bridgewater; grandmother of Mickey, Chris and Billy Martell of Whitman, Jimmy, Julie and Kristen Fagan of Hanson, Sean and Amanda Fagan of East Bridgewater. She was the sister of Warren J. Smith. Marie was active at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Weymouth and also at St. John the Evangelist in East Bridgewater. She was a volunteer for over 20 years at the South Shore Hospital. Her grandchildren were her life and Marie also loved to shop, cook, knit and be with family and friends. Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, South Weymouth, at 809 Main St. (Rte.18, Opp. So. Shore Hospital), Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at 8 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, East Bridgewater, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, 4-8 p.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
